SUMMARY:BMW Riders Association 2024 National Rally
DESCRIPTION:Latest Update on Building 16 for the club’s use! \n\n\n\n\nClick Here for Latest Update Regarding the Use of Building 16\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMap of Fryeburg Fairgrounds (with location of Bldg 16)\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe BMW Riders Association 2024 National Rally is open for business! Fryeburg Fairgrounds in western Maine will be home base as riders converge for epic doses of fun and adventure. \n\n\n\nA wicked good time! \n\n\n\n“You all will love Maine!” says Ed Desimone\, an RA member from Ohio who frequents New England tarmac.“There are beautiful forests to wander in and the Atlantic ocean to jump in—and freeze your a$$ off. Lobsters grow on trees\, and you get to learn a new language—they insist that it is English\, but I have my doubts.”Ed is referring to numerous unique phrases rampant among New Englanders\, a quality we love! For example\, during the rally you may find yourself avoiding a statie\, spotting a swamp donkey\, or banging a uey. Above all\, we hope you will have a wicked good time. If we’re very lucky\, it’ll be wicked pissah! \n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets Now\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThings to do and places to go during the rally.1.) David Percival’s BMW Museum: If you have not been\, (I have been twice) then you should make this a priority.2.) Freeport Desert: 95 Desert Road\, Freeport\, ME 040323.) Bring Me the Head of BOB of Bob’s BMW. A Scavenger Hunt with 100 images of his mug scattered around the rally site. Prizes awarded so be sure to sign in before turning it in.7.) The usual rally things to do – Beer tent\, Music\, Movies\, Vendors\, watch the GS Giants and something called a K-Bike Karaoka and yes\, there will be prizes\, etc. etc..8.) N.Conway is only 20 mins away and the Kangamangas (The Kank) is not far from there. When I was up that way last year the Bear Tooth notch was in fantastic condition.

SUMMARY:Remote First Aid for Riders
DESCRIPTION:We spend lots of money on equipment for riding\, riders training\, trips and farkles. But when it comes to safety\, first aid\, and GPS training\, many riders only carry a “boo-boo” kit. They rely on their cell phones even when there may be no service\, and basic knowledge of their mini-GPS is lacking. Basic emergency medical knowledge should be just as important as ATGATT. \n\n\n\nIn this hands-on class\, “Doc” Ken Hoffman\, DACM\, will discuss the fundamentals of rider safety off road\, what to carry as a bare minimum\, preparing for an off-road trip or an overnight stay in the woods. You will learn how to recognize health emergencies and practice basic life-saving/first aid skills that everyone on your team should know. \n\n\n\nThis course is being offered for FREE at MAX BMW NH on 3/22 and at MAX BMW CT on 3/29. Please use the link below to register and we’ll see you there! \n\n\n\n\nRSVP for CT Seminar

SUMMARY:2025 Frosty Nutz Campout
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time again! The 2024 season kicks off with our favorite spring campout. Bring your sleeping bag\, a sweater and a warm hat. Ride twisties\, hang out around the bonfire\, check out new roads and make new friends. There is a mix of lean-tos\, Connecticut River-facing camp sites and a few cabins (first come-first serve). Firewood is available on site and there is a store and butcher shop nearby. Hot coffee every morning\, but you MUST bring your own cup. You can bring your own dinner to cook over the campfire and\, as usual\, Ken will once again prepare an Italian pasta dinner Friday night for everyone to enjoy. “Spagetti by Springhetti”. Feel free to bring bread\, cheese\, sausage\, venison\, etc to share. It’s a great way to get to know the YB’s. There is a communal fire area and each site has a fire pit with a grill over it. It is one of the better facilities in the Vermont Park System for campfire chefs! We have been doing this event for years now and it is always a mix of weather and always fun. Invite your friends\, bring your guitar or harmonica or spoons and jam out\, hike the Long Trail\, ride to an art gallery or go off road. The best roads in Vermont aren’t paved. Year after year\, this is one of the best attended campouts. All bikes and riders will find something to enjoy. Please no loud pipes. Folks often will gather at the coffee pot / campfire as soon as the sun comes up (or earlier) and plan rides to eat. While this is spring camping\, typically the weather during the day is quite warm. Typical overnight temps get close to\, but rarely\, below freezing. If you would like to reserve a cabin\, please contact the rally chairs. Cabins are first-come\, first serve and sleep 4-6 people. They are not heated\, but have electricity. \n\n\n\nMail check ($35 per camper) to Yankee Beemers\, P.O. Box 2151 Fitchburg\, MA 01420\, re: Frosty Nutz\, or via PayPal at www.yankeebeemers.org.treasurer@yankeebeemers.org \n\n\n\nYour hosts are Bill Cusack (bcusack@comcast.net) and Ken Springhetti (kz1000@hotmail.com).Feel free to contact us for more information or general camping advice. \n\n\n\n\nClick Here To Register

SUMMARY:Colorado Motomarathon 2025
DESCRIPTION:2025 Colorado Motomarathon Registration \n\n\n\nGreetings fellow riders\, \n\n\n\nI hope this email finds you well. With a lot of help from people working behind the scenes\, the events we held in Pennsylvania and Vermont this past year were a huge success. The High Life Ski Lodge in Vermont was a great host lodge thanks to the members who were there to support us. The “House Mom”\, Chris Cooney\, cooked\, made coffee\, cleaned\, and was a huge help throughout the week. \n\n\n\nFor 2025\, we will be hosting one event. The Colorado Motomarathon. Check-in is on Sunday\, June 22 and ride dates are June 23-26. \n\n\n\nThe cost for registration is $100 per rider. This helps us cover AMA sanctioning fees\, shirts\, website costs\, and insurance. With that said\, our insurance premium nearly doubled last year to almost $1\,600 per event.  We have been using an insurance company associated with the AMA\, as they are familiar with these types of events\, and it’s been impossible to find another company that will write a decent policy for us. After speaking with riders who participate in other events\, we are finding out that not only are prices doubling\, but some events aren’t able to obtain coverage anymore. As many of you know\, increased insurance costs are not unique to the motorcycle world.  \n\n\n\nTo help cover the increased costs\, and keep the registration fee down\, we are looking for sponsors for 2025. Your name and emblem will be listed on our shirts\, we will promote you at the event\, and on our website and Facebook page. Sponsorship is $495. This will also cover your registration fee if you participate. Any assistance you can offer to keep Motomarathon going will be greatly appreciated by everyone involved. \n\n\n\nPlease use this link to our website for more information and to Register for the 2025 Motomarathon Event. \n\n\n\nOur host lodge will be the Twin Peaks Lodge in Ouray\, Colorado. Please use this link to book your room.  Our group discount is already applied when using this link. As with every event\, you are not obligated to stay at the host lodge. Feel free to stay at a different hotel\, a local Air BnB\, or even a campground. We will be meeting for dinner each night at the Twin Peaks\, and a breakfast buffet is included with your room. \n\n\n\nOn-site check-in and registration will be held on Sunday\, June 22\, between 5:00 PM & 7:00 PM.  Riders safety meeting will be held at the beginning of dinner each night\, at 7:00 PM. \n\n\n\nA very special thanks to Brian and Shira from Backroads Magazine\, for their continued support. \n\n\n\nAlso to John Terzo from JT’s Moto Co. John owns a motorcycle themed barbershop in Verona\, NJ\, and has started a local company called JT’s Moto Co. He is creating motorcycle accessories for riders.  \n\n\n\nPlease reach out to me with any questions or concerns and please feel free to share this message in support of our shared mission. \n\n\n\nRIDE SAFE \n\n\n\n  John J. Bossolt \n\n\n\n   Motomarathon Association \n\n\n\n   (973) 951-7606 \n\n\n\nMotomarathon and each event\, is fully insured\, and sanctioned by the American Motorcyclist Association
